Packing Details
Installation Guide
- Placement: Lay the tape in the trench approximately 300mm above the buried utility line.
- Backfilling: Proceed with backfilling the trench, ensuring the tape remains in position.
- Connection: At one end of the tape, bring it to the surface to facilitate future connection with location equipment.
Joining Tracer Wires
To maintain electrical continuity, simply pull the tracer wires from within the tape and twist them together. For a more secure connection, crimping the wires is recommended.
Detection
The tape can be detected using standard pipe and cable location equipment. Refer to the locator manual for specific instructions, but generally, the signal generator should be connected to the wires within the tape, and the locator should be set to ‘Generator’ mode.
